Our Implant Solutions
Dental implants are a remarkable tooth replacement option that can be used to restore one or more missing teeth or even a whole arch. Thanks to their longevity and easy maintenance, dental implants are a cost-effective smile restoration option.

What are Dental Implants?
A dental implant is a natural-looking prosthetic tooth replacement. It’s surgically placed in your mouth to create a stable bond that can’t be matched by dentures or any other type of restoration. Their amazing stability means dental implants won’t come out or shift position while you’re talking or eating the way dentures can.
Your dental implant is composed of three parts — the fixture, which secures the implant to your jawbone, the abutment, which connects the fixture to the restoration, and the porcelain crown restoration, which is placed on top of the abutment. Of these three pieces, your friends will only see the porcelain crown that’s designed blend in perfectly with your smile.

What is the Dental Implant Process?
Your free consultation with Dr. Stockdale is your first step on the road to an attractive new smile. Your consultation will include a complimentary CBCT scan and a chance to discuss the results with Dr. Stockdale
If Dr. Stockdale determines that dental implants are the ideal treatment to restore your smile, we can begin the implant process. The first step is placing the implant fixture. During this minimally-invasive procedure, Dr. Stockdale will attach the implant fixture to your jawbone.
The implant fixture that holds the implant in place is made from titanium, a durable, stainless material. Through a process called osseointegration, your jawbone develops a sturdy attachment to the fixture and this serves as a stable platform for the dental implant.
You’ll need some time to adjust to your implant fixture, but once your jawbone has fully healed, Dr. Stockdale will place your attractive porcelain crown.
In some cases, a patient who’s a good candidate for dental implants requires one or more supplemental treatments to prepare for the implant process. Dr. Stockdale will let you know if he recommends any supplemental procedures during your free consultation.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long do dental implants last?
Dental implants last for many decades and can even last for a lifetime. Implants are made out of sturdy, biocompatible materials that become a natural part of your jawbone. Your implant will function and feel just like a natural tooth, so you don’t have to worry about being careful with it.
Implants do require regular oral hygiene in order to last this long, though. The good news is that all you have to do is brush and floss your teeth like usual — treat the implant just like a natural tooth. Regular dental check-ups and cleanings also ensure your implant is in its best shape.
How much do dental implants cost?
The cost of dental implants varies from person to person because everyone’s situation is different. The only way to know how much your dental implant treatment will cost is to schedule a free consultation with Dr. Stockdale.
While cheaper dental implants might sound tempting, there are likely important parts of the procedure that are cut out to lower the cost. Dr. Stockdale provides the experience and care that’s necessary to place consistently successful dental implants.
How do you take care of your dental implants after the procedure?
To care for your dental implants on a daily basis, brush your teeth twice a day and floss once. Dental implants don’t require specialized home care, so you can treat them like they’re your natural teeth. Regular dental visits also keep your implants in their best shape.
Right after your procedure, it’s important to be careful around the surgical site. Don’t use a straw, avoid harsh spitting, and eat soft foods until you’ve healed. After your surgery, Dr. Stockdale will provide detailed care instructions for you.
Are dental implants safe?
Yes, dental implants are completely safe. They’re made of biocompatible materials that will become part of your body as you heal. You’ll be able to treat your dental implant like it’s a natural tooth because it’ll look and feel just like one.
Dental implant procedures have a very high success rate and they last for a lifetime. Paired with treatment by an experienced dentist like Dr. Stockdale, implant procedures are extremely safe.
Does insurance cover my dental implants procedure?
Most dental insurance plans cover part of the cost of dental implants. If you’d like to find out the details of your coverage, we recommend contacting your dental insurance provider. They’ll be able to help you find how much you’re qualified for.
Many people are concerned about the cost of dental implants, but due to their longevity, they’re often a great investment in your dental health. Our office can also help you with a financing plan, so you can pay for your treatment in affordable monthly increments.
